What do VC’s notice first when founders pitch them?

The composure and confidence of the team is probably #1.
Do they know their market? Do they own their metrics?
Are they able to be honest about the risks and hardships they may face?
Do they know their competitors in and out? Do they have a competitive moat?
Do they have a growth strategy?
The personalities and confidence (but not arrogance) of the founders will likely be what gets a second meeting. And the goal of the first meeting is to always get a second meeting!
